Industry hype has accelerated demand for a range of workflow based tools to address a wide range of IT operations process automation tasks. However, it depends on where one sits within IT operations management to comprehend the dichotomy of needs from both a macro and micro workflow perspective. The successful amalgam of IT process automation and IT change management tools will be dependent on removing domain biases and building new process management skills.
