William R. SnyderHolistic vendor management requires planning and discipline, beyond just tasking someone to do it in their spare time. Effective vendor management is a result of ensuring each member of the team — and the respective recipients of the service — are working toward the same goal of maximizing vendor value. This presentation looks at how to approach development of a vendor management program, and how to ensure that each vendor in the program delivers at an optimal level.
Key Issues:
  • What are the goals and objectives for a cross-organizational vendor management program?
  • What are the key pitfalls to avoid in the development of a vendor management program?
  • What metrics can be used to measure vendors as well as management effectiveness?
