IT seems to be growing green – vendors are extolling the green aspects of their products and services, hoping to win the interest of customers that feel a growing need to be “seen to be green”. But is there a real change going on, or is this just the confluence of PR-centric corporate responsibility initiatives, a desire to save money, and an aspiration to sell us more IT “stuff”. Will green IT initiatives really make any significant difference and will there be any demonstrative impact on your bottom line? |
