The markets for security products and services in Europe and Asia are exploding, and local vendors are moving rapidly to satisfy customer demand and build market share. There are security companies based outside of North America that are doing sizable business outside of North America. Some of these vendors are innovative; some are less expensive than the North American market leaders but provide similar – and often better – customer service. |
Key Issues:
|
- How must vendors tackle cultural, political, legal and linguistic barriers if they want to compete against agile, local vendors?
- What will be the effect on the security market of governments and corporations that increasingly want vendors to make substantial investments in local facilities and staff?
- How can customers realize cost and performance benefits through working with vendors that are based outside of North America?
