Improvisational comedy as practiced in Chicago has always had its roots in current events and social commentary. Through the use of humor, the improv comedian can often provide a unique perspective to historical events that can stimulate communications, collaboration and innovation. A number of well-known performers began careers as part of the historic troupe.
