Monica BassoWireless e-mail is a priority for many organizations today, but it is only one element of a wider set of communications applications that include mobile instant messaging, and will evolve to presence and location enabled social networking. We explore the technical, financial and organizational challenges of wireless e-mail today, and look to the future technology and organizational opportunities and challenges of wireless messaging systems and social networking applications.
Key Issues:
  • How will wireless e-mail, unified communications, context and social networking transform the future of mobile messaging?
  • How will the wireless e-mail market, products and vendors be influenced by these trends and evolve over the next three years?
  • How can enterprises successfully adopt wireless e-mail and the other new forms of personal communications to achieve business benefits?
