09:30 AM-10:30 AM
Speaker: Robert Rebhan
Location: Los Angeles Ballroom
Session Type: Keynote Session

Robert RebhanUnderstanding financial crime is not as simple as it used to be. Sophisticated international and US-born criminal activity has caused dramatic changes in the way consumers and businesses perceive risks and sustain losses. Many in the business community know little about the mechanics of crime and the relationship between hardcore identity theft and corporate responsibility. Failure to see this often makes remedial change inappropriate or weak.

Identity theft, privacy issues, financial losses and data protection are everyday media topics. Now, because of legislative intervention, we are all influenced by costly and restrictive mandates regulating not just how financial data is collected, but also how it is used, stored and, ultimately, destroyed.

These new laws have forced businesses to close loopholes in order to protect consumer privacy, while at the same time mitigating corporate liability. This places more focus on the demand for corporate diligence.

Robert Rebhan will share his insight into the world of financial crimes, offering provocative commentary on society’s failures and placing a spotlight on the unusual suspects. He will also inspire the audience to return to the workplace with a refreshed attitude toward being more diligent in avoiding fraud.
