Mark Raskino is a vice president and Gartner Fellow in the Executive Leadership and Innovation group of Gartner Research. Mr. Raskino works primarily with mixed teams of senior and business executives (outside the tech sector). He covers technology and related macro-trends, their business strategy and IT management implications. He specializes in researching the interaction between CEO agendas and IT.
Mr. Raskino is co-author of the 2008 Harvard Press book "Mastering the Hype Cycle," Gartner's annual business executive survey and the annual "CIO Resolutions" report. He is an accomplished and frequent international event keynote speaker.
Current key research topics include:
(1) IT and the great recession;
(2) strategic IT cost cutting;
(3) adoptive innovation and the Hype Cycle;
(4) CEO perspectives; and
(5) new trends in IT-enabled business growth.
