Track A: Strategy & Leadership For BI to be successful the right teams with a balance of IT and Business skills must lead the way. Unfortunately today most BI projects are seen primarily as IT driven initiatives. This track explains how savvy IT leaders can build the right organizational structure that brings business users together with IT to drive greater BI adoption. Doing this requires IT leaders to develop skills in building the business case and maximizing the business value of BI. A
Track B: Performance ManagementAs BI matures and performance management and analytics become more fully integrated into business processes, organizations will be able to make smarter decisions improving their ability to allocate resources and develop more productive relationships with their customers and suppliers. This track will cover performance management and analytic applications with drill down sessions on the role and best practices for BI within a variety of business functions such as CRM and Finance as well as Governance, Risk, and Compliance. A particular focus will be applied to the role of CPM in optimizing profitability and cutting costs throughout the organization.B
Track C: Technology & ArchitectureThough invisible to the business, information infrastructure is the bedrock of successful BI. This track reveals the critical success factors for optimal BI architecture- and exposes the trends, technologies, and architectural principles that will impact BI infrastructure in the future. Track D: Markets & MavericksThe BI marketplace grows more complex every day – with BI products, vendors and services constantly in flux. The rapid consolidation of the market led by the mega vendors forces organizations to re-examine their vendor selection decisions. At the same time emerging trends and alternative delivery models are radically changing our understanding of the best way to build and deploy BI. This track provides a deeper understanding of the root cause of market shifts – and provides proven tips and techniques for successfully managing negotiations and relationships with technology providers.D
Virtual Track A: Cutting Costs with BI and Performance ManagementThis virtual track identifies how successful BI leaders can become superheroes to their company. Attendees will learn how BI and performance management can identify opportunities to cut cost in the business and focus capital and resources on the most profitable and high growth areas of the business.VTA
Virtual Track B: BI in the Public SectorNew presidential Administrations usher in change. One thing that will not change is the continued focus on agency performance and results. President-elect Obama has said he wants a “smarter” government that operates efficiently and delivers quality services to citizens. Our virtual track will highlight how government organizations are using BI for more effective performance management. This also provides an opportunity for BI leaders in government to collaborate with peers about lessons learned and share how BI tools and frameworks can be effectively applied to the unique circumstances of the public sector.VTB
