Charlie Ward is an IT Enterprise Architect for Duke Energy. He is responsible for developing and aligning Duke’s technology strategy with the company’s business strategy and optimizing the return on their IT investment. His current focus is leading the design and implementation of an enterprise Information Management Architecture as part of the IT platform required to support the company’s business strategies into the future. Charlie has 15 years of experience in application development and solution delivery, and has been a system and enterprise architect for the past 7 years. Prior to joining Duke, Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Submarine Service. He has a B.S. degree in Management from Southern Wesleyan University. He lives in Rock Hill, SC with his wife and the younger of his two sons.
