 SOA has come a long way over the past five years, with many ups and downs. SOA has been and will continue to be both a major driver and mechanism for IT modernization. It is a challenging journey in which we get the best directions that we can and then set off on the adventure. Although time and maturity have shown that SOA is not bad, bad SOA is still prevalent. This presentation examines the SOA scars many now bear and the primary lessons learned. It also looks at the best practices of SOA pioneers and how they are shaping its evolution. |
