B: Leveraging and Extending Your Investments in VirtualizationVirtualization brings flexibility, agility and increased capabilities to IT organizations, but is not without risk. Most organizations are now familiar and are using some level of virtualization technology for servers, storage, and clients in their data center. However, the increasing heterogeneity of technology and diversity of vendors in the data center introduced new challenges as well as implications for operations, service quality, disaster recovery and security. In this track we will examine the newest technologies, management best practices and key success factors that will drive further efficiencies and cost savings in your virtualized environment.TRACK B
C: Exploiting Clouds from Both Sides Now… and in the Future Cloud computing has become the latest craze in a series of popular industry terms. While the potential is there to have a profound impact on IT and business, there is also a lot of hype. Well-run IT organizations will eventually need to find a balance between managing and delivering private cloud services, sourcing some services from the public cloud, and retaining well-run but non-cloud architectures for services not suited to the cloud computing style. We will explore the risk and opportunities, provide best practices and forecast the future evolution of how IT services are delivered.

This track looks at how to choose the right strategic technologies and vendors and how they will evolve in the future.
