Ian Marriott is a research vice president in Gartner Research, where he is responsible for the external service provider area. His focus is on outsourcing with a particular emphasis on strategic sourcing and offshore outsourcing. Mr Marriott leads Gartner's offshore research community, which focuses on IT and business process outsourcing, global sourcing and delivery models, emerging supply markets and best practices. He is a frequent speaker and presenter at numerous Gartner and external forums and events around the world, and is extensively quoted in the national and international press.
