Wednesday, 16 September 2009
16:00-17:00
Moderator: John Pescatore
Panelists: Asaf Ahmad, Rob McMillan, John Pane, Marcel Sorouni

Session Type: Gartner Session

Everyone has a security awareness program but few can show that investments in awareness activities actually produce tangible benefits for the enterprise. In this interactive panel session we will focus on what works and what fails when it comes to awareness programs. The emphasis will be on real world examples of awareness activities that produce measurable results and that align with the organization’s appetite (or lack of) for culture change.
Key Issues:
  • How do you justify investments in awareness activities?
  • What skills and capabilities are required to build and maintain an effective awareness program?
  • Should security awareness programs do anything more than satisfy the requirements of regulations and audit?
