 SOA is not just Web services -- at least not for the EA team. All areas of EA are increasingly enabled using a service-oriented approach. This session will describe a full EA framework view of services, from business process services (shared function), information services (shared information), technical services (shared infrastructure) and, finally, solutions including applications and application services (shared systems). With service orientation, we recommend taking a portfolio approach, with separate views of each type of service, yet with the ability to map dependencies across these portfolios -- a new focus of EA repository and other tools.
